About the Role

As the Front Dock Shipping/Receiving Clerk and Driver, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our shipping and receiving department. Your responsibilities will primarily revolve around the shipping and receiving of camera dollies and related equipment, maintaining accurate stock room inventory records, and providing excellent customer service. Additionally, you will be responsible for operating a fork lift and delivery vehicle to transport equipment to local vendors, various client locations and production sets.

Responsibilities

  • Shipping and Receiving:

    • Receive incoming domestic and international shipments of camera dollies and accessories, checking for accuracy and inspecting for any damages.

    • Prepare camera dollies and equipment for outbound domestic and international shipments, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.

    • Generate shipping labels, packing lists, and other relevant documentation.

    • Coordinate with the internal team to arrange pickups and deliveries with shipping

      carriers.

    • Maintain a well-organized and clean shipping/receiving area.

  • Stock Room Inventory Management:

    • Keep accurate records of materials and products handled, including quantities,

      locations, and any damage or discrepancies.

    • Conduct regular part stock room checks to ensure inventory accuracy and report

      any discrepancies to the supervisor.

    • Monitor stock levels and inform the management team when replenishment is

      needed.

    • Organize and maintain the stock room, ensuring that items are stored in a neat

      and orderly fashion.

  • Customer Service:

    â—¦ Assist shipping companies, freight forwarders and vendor drivers with pickups and returns, ensuring a positive and professional experience.

    • Address inquiries regarding shipping status, tracking information, and product availability.

  • Fork Lift Operation and Maintenance:

    • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment in a safe and responsible

      manner, following established safety guidelines and procedures.

    • Load and unload material, products and shipments from trucks, containers, and

      storage areas using a forklift. Move materials to designated storage areas or

      production lines.

    • Participate in forklift training and certification programs as required.

  • Vehicle Operation and Maintenance:

    • Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport camera dollies and equipment to

      various client locations and production sets.

    • Pick up and deliver Manufacturing parts and supplies

    • Follow all traffic and safety regulations while driving and ensure the proper loading

      and securing of equipment in the vehicle.

    • Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks, such as checking oil levels, tire

      pressure, and ensuring cleanliness.

  • General Support:

    • Collaborate with the warehouse team in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.

    • Assist with equipment assembly, disassembly, and quality checks as needed.

    • Utilize computer skills for data entry, inventory tracking, and communication with

      team members.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

  • Previous experience in shipping/receiving, inventory management, or a related field is

    preferred.

  • Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting and moving heavy camera equipment.

  • Familiarity with camera dollies and related film equipment is advantageous.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, showcasing strong

    interpersonal skills.

  • Computer proficiency for data entry and utilizing inventory management systems.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends based on business needs.
